BIG PICTURE THINKING

"...Ninety-nine percent of humanity does not know that we have the option to "make it" economically on this planet and in the Universe. We do.”

Big Picture Thinking and the understanding of systems' interactions are vital to understanding the complexity of the interrelations in the biosphere and humans' role in it.

This is a long and fascinating journey, and we can only give you a few glimpses here. However, the mindfood buffet below may well inspire you for your own explorations in life.

R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER, July 12, 1895-July 1, 1983

R. Buckminster Fuller is a unique landmark in the field of future / science / design (who is?). There is good reason why he is featured on a U.S post stamp, and there is good reason why his teachings should be integrated into learning and teaching world-around. One of his major advices is to *from the start* begin learning by looking *at the whole system*, and not at its parts. Then, people will better understand what synergy is. Do you know what it is? But there is so much to be found and learned from his work!

A school in India has picked up his principles - an amazing place with amazing results! (article and video)

Though a man of incredible intellect and vision, many of "Bucky's" fans remain most impressed by the man's awe-inspiring humility -- and his abiding love for his planet and his fellow human beings. "Above all, said Fuller, "I was motivated in 1927 and ever since by the most mysterious drive we ever experience -- that of love. I don't think there's any influence upon my life that compares with...love."
